I am incredibly excited about the much anticipated launch of jewellery trading platform, Wndrlnd. An exciting new community for jewellery lovers. One in which you are able to discover new independent designers, securely sell jewellery to buyers with a similar passion and most crucially, a collection of some of the most stunning pieces of jewellery I have ever seen. Wndrlnd is launching and it is set to make waves in the jewellery world.
I first met, website owner and fellow jewellery enthusiast, Gillian, when I was writing my dissertation. My dissertation was on how luxury watch and jewellery brands employ online retailing techniques and how this impacts on brand exclusively. I was lucky enough to be put in touch with Gillian who was in the process of setting up a purely online site selling luxury jewellery. I instantly picked out Gillian in a crowded London coffee shop on the merit of her jewellery alone. After hearing her incredible business plan I have looked forward to this launch ever since.
As of the 18th of August Wndrlnd.co.uk, will be online and ready to trade, hosting a portfolio of coveted independent designers. The Alkonost will feature, an independent London jewellers who has built a striking collection based on Russian mythology. The Alkonost is said to be a creature with the body of a bird and the mind of a beautiful woman. The striking collection features heavily on organic sculptures.
Another multi-award winning brand on the site is Gina Melosi, creative cutting-edge jewellery design married with ethical principles and materials. Collections inspired by broken glass, contrasting textures, colours and form, Gina Melosi offers compelling and unique designs.
British designer Joanna Bury will be another incredible designer trading on the site. Joanna creates powerful collections of contemporary, statement jewellery. Large pendants, wrist cuffs and cutting-edge earrings in a variety of different materials, such as sand-blasted glass, acrylics and precious metals.
Wndrlnd.com hosts an impressive collection of award-winning independent jewellery designers, a treasure trove of unique pieces in one place. Personally, I can’t wait for the site to launch, a fantastic idea from a very impressive lady. As of the 18th of August Wndrlnd.com will be open for business. Be quick, before you miss out!
